Hey guys. I got gas on the tail light cover and now the whole light cover is mainly dull. Anyone else have this problem? I just got this scooter. Taotao 50cc. Anyone know what I can use to clean it with? Thanks for the help guys.

WELCOME!! Sounds like you'll need to wet sand it with 1000 grit (or more) sandpaper and then buff with buffing compound. That should clear it right up! You could just buy a headlight restoration kit that has everything needed.

Ya works good but I've had mostly fails on cheap China plastic. You're basically sanding away the yellowed plastic with finer and finer sandpaper until you buff to clear at the end...

Bug spray (deet) , brake fluid will melt the plastic. Tooth paste works a little but takes serious effort. The sand/polish kits seem to give best results from i tried. 2But you will to polish lenses on a regular basis to keep rehazing from returning. It may be just as easy/cheap to replace the lense being its a common one.
