Yeah, a Dremel can get away from you quick on soft materials. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

If you hadn't told me, I'd have no idea the pipe was ever damaged. Nice work on the reed block too. Yeah, I can see the transition.

Started her up for the first time in ages. First thing I noticed was the idle has shot up, with no carb changes being made. It would appear it likes my improved reed block The exhaust flange isn't seating properly with the header, I shall investigate properly tomorrow. Hopefully nothing is bent

I'm sure it's good to hear the pig squeal again. lol How are you feeling now? Two weeks today, still bandaged up Least I can walk now! Thanks John. Yes, that's PG1 gloss black you can see, I used it for the silencer sleeve. Good stuff for engine cases Sorted out the zaust leak last night. At the moment she won't idle off the choke, so I reckon the pilot's gummed up. I'll give the carb a clean this evening. Still waiting on the belly pan and foot plates

Imagine having a perfectly good running scoot and feeling like riding it! But the fear of the local law keeps you and the scooter in the garage...?...Its a crappy feeling!
I was just looking back over your pics and noticed the head on the bench. Ive never seen a combustion chamber so recessed in the head. Is it that way out of the box?

It's stock, yes. It's not unusual with the high compression race kits. That head is off a Doppler S7R. Isn't there a way to register you scooter as a motorcycle so you can ride it legally? Been ScooterAttack shopping: (anybody else spotted the new website? I'm happy, as they have loads of trick parts for my Runner)

Just sitting here waiting for a short test vid I made to upload. It was taken to show you what it sounds like, as I know I haven't posted a vid of it before. I took it up to 11k in the vid, it will go up to 12.5k on the road.
I started it from cold and just went for it :burnout:
