OUCH! that was a lesson well learned. Look at my earlier post, I said it was due to a bad wrist pin or bearing. Be lucky that you dont need a new cylinder. Hope you get all the kinks worked out and get it up a running soon. Keep us posted.

Like we say down south;"A graduate from the school of hard knocks".Bet you'll never use plastic cage bearings again!! Well, actually John, I've been shown a method of heating them in oil that keeps them below 100*c. The metal caged one's are nearly impossible to get in decent quality. The problem with them is that you can't actually tell you've deformed them until they go bang in a few miles

Andy wanted to start with a stock one and sport pro exhaust, so he can tell if anything's gone wrong as he knows what to expect with that combo. I'll probably get the seized one honed/re-plated and get some dyno time to compare them in a few weeks.

Cant you just get a new sleeve for the cylinder? I would think that would be less expensive. Is that the replacement OEM bearing?

Nope, I use SKF C4's as they're better quality. The OEM bearings are made in India, I wouldn't trust them at 13500rpm to be honest.
The cylinder isn't sleeved, it's Nicasil plated aluminum. I could get a sleeve put in, but it's the same price as Nicasil re-plating and I'd rather keep the Nicasil as it's harder wearing.

Spoke to the guys with my bike just now, they say it's all done bar some exhaust testing, coolant and the electrics ;D

Hoping for 16hp with the R1200 and stock S6 racing and 18-19 with the ported cylinder ;D I'll have some blocked vari runs to show you, they replace the vari with a set of cogs and a toothed belt to effectively make it single geared. Shows the power curve much better The rebuild is being done as a favor, at the moment they aren't taking on any work so I'm as surprised as you to find it's nearly done less than a week later. Not complaining though!

You guys are on a totally different level over there. Want vids when you get it tuned!

Of course, vids will come as standard I'm of the opinion if you're going to do something, you might as well do it properly! There's 3 scooter dyno's within a 1:15 ride from home, so I'm sorta spoiled for choice.

Small update - a comparison Andy sent me between the S6 Pro and R1200 on my scoot:

What's crazy to me is that it really does nothing till past 9,000. At the start of the graph you are making 49cc 4T HP with one pipe and 49cc 2T HP with the other. I thought my 103 was high revving because the power didn't kick in hard till 7-8,000. lol
18:1 AFR is a little scary to me, but I'm not used to seeing dyno graphs and AFR maps for scoots. Even if that were out of the throttle as if cruising I'd think it should be lower. He's the expert though, not me. I'm sure they will take care of it if it's an issue.

The AFR is up the creek because it was done with the vari and clutch replaced with cogs and a toothed belt. Just think, if a mild MidRace pipe has that little power at low revs, what's a full race setup gunna be? Mind you, my clutch doesn't engage until after most 49 2T's and 4T's have run out of steam.

Thanks for the graphs. Interesting stuff.
What's your peak RPM? Looks like the r1200 would be making more power passed 13k
