scrappydog's has a 90cc 2 stroke engine and cvt for $350.

I'd hate to see anyone replace a 2 stroke with a 4 poke! But in this case where's there's no CVT- just one speed- a 139qmb 4poke would be a step up. With that being said, a nice cheap 1e40qmb 2 stroke Minarelli from Craigslist is what I'd be putting into it! Why mess with all the performance parts on a 4 poke and still end up with a turd when you could start with a 2t Minarelli and actually have a decent base to build from! That hurts Niz. Hurts real bad..... |

90cc is too big. Trying to keep it legal unfortunately. Still I got a lot of work ahead of me. I'll try and post something on it trying to start it. I messaged the guy that sold it to me an said it gad been sitting for a few months an didn't know why the engine would be blown. Gimme a break he knew what he was doing. I got suckered.

I know a lot of shade has been thrown at your Mantis my question/ statement is why not install a Honda Aero/Elite vertical mina engine on it?

That hurts Niz. Hurts real bad..... Lol sorry Availien! It'd been awhile since I've seen any 4t bashing and I always take that upon myself! I like both. 4T is really dependable for long distances. 2T has much more power per dollar spent upgrading. |

It's better to know what I have then someone lie to me. Well one I'm not sure what honda engine your talking about really. I'd love to do a motor swap and I found a 4 stoke local for 100 minus carb but it'd require some fab work to make it fit I'm sure. I thought my engine was blown but now I'm not to sure since I was trying to crank it with th plug wire off. Baby steps I guess. A little more info on the Honda engine would be awesome!!! |
