I just read the link you posted, Brent. Thanks again. That gives me a couple of things to check out. I really want this thing to be reliable. I've got some big plans for next year.

The seat is excellent (the previous owner actually upgraded it because he thought the OEM one was too hard). It's very plush. I wish it were just an inch or so farther back though. On my long ride yesterday it started feel a bit cramped after an hour or so.

And Goosey, adjusting the "shocks" really meanns changing the spring height, which changes the pre-load. So going to "soft" will lower the rear, but I'd guess by no more than a 1/4 inch. Maybe less.
