i bought that cover from Jeremy back when i sold the rally and i finally have something to put it on. i also ordered some new mirrors today for the velocity. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004KHCM96/ref=oss_productnow i gotta get out there and build the motor, then swap them out and get the tank up and running for the misses.

Same set that I have on my zuma, they are ok but I would spend the money on the S6 units next time. The plastic is kinda cheap and I doubt they will hold up well.

i looked at those but $30 each is a little steep for mirrors, even for S6.

Well i put about 10 miles on my Velocity today and needless to say I'm happy as hell. :riding: its got a little more power off the line then it did last time i rode it but an intake not leaking will usually help with that. i didn't even mind the cool weather. the best i could get out of it from light to light (about 3 city blocks) was 53mph (according to the vapor unit thats pretty accurate). I'm gonna put some more miles on it tomorrow. :riding:

;D Glad you are getting out and enjoying it Jason. Have you got the wife out with you yet, or is she still calling you crazy and staying inside? lol
Damn John. I thought this time of the year was the more relaxed bit for your work still.

Well she's still wraped up in a blanket sitting inside the house. She said she's not getting out till it hits at least 65*, what a wuss.

lol I can't say I blame her. If the scoot isn't calling your name, just keep that blanket on and stay warm.

Since we got my wife a new scoot I've been canabilizing parts here and there off the Tank for my Velocity. Tonight I thought I'd swap out the floorboard and foot protecter from the Tank, looks exactly the same but they sadly are not. VERY minor differences between the 2 that make it impossible to swap and still look good. Mainly in the way the front fits and the plastics for the seat base are just a few hairs off from being able to work. I've also been looking at how I'm going to install a frame brace and I think I've got it figured out. If I can get it welded in and get it done tomorrow I'll post some pics. Also with the help of Fox, I think I've found a way to fit rear disk brakes on the Velocity, I'm buying a 13" wheel he has that can accept either a rotor or drum. I get that, a rotor and caliper in and I'll find a way to make it work. I'll let ya know when there is more to report.

I got my frame brace installed today, took a while to fab up the mounting since I'm using an aluminum tube for the actual brace. But I got it just the same. and another view I also got the oil changed, put the other michelin pilot tire on it that I got from shiftless, and cut out the bottom of my battery tray and lowered it about 3/4" so my battery sits down under the floorboard now.
