Just started reading this thread and thought to myself; Self, this is post 9/11 and some of these tools and other goodies could help make a nice bomb (what an overly paranoid bag checker might think) and that I'm pretty surprised that they let you get that on the plane.

See, the thing is, I checked double checked the TSA website before packing my bags. Just like I confirmed today I can haul a set of 13 inch car tires to my buddy in Mexico in my checked bag this fall.

The pressurized fire extinguisher surprised me the most. The other day they (post office) wanted to know if perfume, along with a list of other things, was in the package because it couldn't be put on a plane. Anyway, That was a good read and I've traveled on many of those roads. Too bad you missed Mt, Shasta. To me one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The Columbia River Gorge is pretty incredible as well.

I got the fire extinguisher at an auto parts store in Seattle. Loved than car, some hag crashed into it and I sold it on a whim on Craigslist. I needed a down payment for a new house. I lived in the hood at that point and needed to get my family into a better place. I got my money back x3 selling it and collective the insurance claim. That picture of my wife sitting on the hood along highway 1 is a classic. One of the best pictures I've ever taken. Ah, memories.
