Got it to crank and turn on! But it won't stay on, and when I give it throttle I shuts off... Also it starts to accelerate by itself any idea what it could be?

You can remove the vacuum line attached to the intake and suck on it to open the fuel valve. This will save your battery and starter.

Make sure the pilot jet is clear. It doesn't take much to close it up.

To tell you the truth.if I got a used scoot I'd treat as a new one.once I got it home .I'd strip it down .go the all the elec but all new fuel lines change oil gear lub spark plug get rid of the pair stuff get rid of the pet cock put manule fuel shot off on.and that's just the beginning.

If you remove the fuel line from the carb and the vacuum line from the intake boot in front of the carb and suck on it fuel should flow out of the fuel line as long as you continue to suck on the vacuum line. If it flows good when you suck on it and stops when you stop then the petcock is working fine. If the scooter has sat for a long time the the carb is gonna need to be taken apart and the idle jet cleaned most likely. There is a very good guide for that at this link. That idle jet is the culprit every time. You gotta scroll down to part two of this post: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/363/carburetor-cleaning
