There are a few ways, but the best way is with the proper tool. On the crank job i did, i ordered a flywheel puller and waited to receive it to continue the job.
You could wack it out with a hammer while applying preasure outward with a screwdriver, but i dont recommand it at all.

RaizerWell, I wish I had that tool I didn't know that there are different types of fly wheels. I bought this fly wheel puller That didn't work with that fly wheel since there are no threads inside it. I needed this one here. But I cannot order another one right now so I improvised and used this. There was a very loud *BANG!* and I thought "holy what the just happened?" I thought I destroyed something but looking closer all was OK. I'll definitely get the other puller too sooner or later since I am a tool it is always good to have special tools that might come in handy in the future.

Hmm...you have a different flywheel. Which brand is it? And do you have 6 or 12 coils (you only might be able to see when you have the flywheel off)? And yeah you need a tool like Raizer said Goddamn i didn't see page 3

Lucass2TMy CDI looked similar like the upper one. No cables coming out from it. iwiketuddlzThanks! Yeah man 2T all the way! Tools are sexy! It is a Yamaha Factory ported case. Here some comparison pics taken by oldgeek. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/10800/pictures-yamaha-factory-trenched-clonePIG once did some porting/trenching and he was asked if it makes a big difference if a case is ported or not and I can tell you it does. Especially at takeoffs and mid-range, there is lot more torque and power. I have 2 Jogs one has also that 5BM engine and the other don't and the one with 5BM was always running stronger and faster and I never knew why until Lucass2T asked me for that 5BM engine and that is how all this started for me. So a very big THANK YOU! to Lucass2T for pointing me into that direction.

It's not threaded? How weird if that's the case. Since you're replacing the crank I'd smack it a couple good times with a rubber mallet, which will usually free them up. Saving the crank and flywheel, I'd use a heat gun/torch on the flywheel and compressed air in a can to freeze the crank and then hit it with less force with a rubber mallet.
If I'm trying to save that flywheel, my last option is to use a 3 jaw puller because I've seen them get bent that way.
EDIT: How do I always miss the next page?? That is a sweet looking case separator!

BTW, it's looks like a dead cat in there lol yes i kinda does. But when i am done she's gonna be a tiger. My neighbor drives an old Jog Poche and out of curiosity i went to look what engine it has...yes...5BM! Another one. I'm gonna have a chat with them and tell them if they don't need the scooter anymore or if it breaks i want to have it. So that is the 2nd Jog Poche with a 5BM engine looks like that is the Jog type to look for. You guys don't have Jog Poche in the US or Europe?
