The Black and Orange looks great to me but the thing that was killing me was the seat. In more ways than one. I'm 6' 160 maybe, and these Chinese seats are built for a sumo wrestler I guess. The seat was grey, faded, scuffed and had a puncture in it from who the hell knows what. So it had to go. I didn't see a new seat being worth $35-45 so I started watching and reading recovering videos and seat repair vids. A trip to the local fabric score netted me 1 us of real nice, HD marine vinyl for $11. Black with a nice pebble texture.
After pulling the factory cover I marked where I felt a change was needed for me. After finishing that up I realized the factory foam is pretty stiff so I used some nice soft foam I had laying around to make a sort of "pillow top" for the seat. I didn't take any pics of it final sanded but it came out pretty good. I than spent about 2 hours with a staple gun, needle nose, my wife's hair dryer and a Blue Moon or 3 wrapping the seat. It wasn't that hard just time consuming. The dryer helped soften the vinyl and work out any wrinkles. Overall I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. What do you guys think?

just need to mount the front panel which Inhave to order from Scrappy mount the headlight after I try and convert it to an H4 setup. The light housing is fairly large so I'm hoping heat isn't an issue. Also need to look into new front brake line as the lever is really spongy. I noticed the front hose looks like it's starting to dry rot. Not good. Anybody use braided line for the front brake or the stock hose, when new is good enough?

Well, other than waiting on a new floor mat it's done. The original mat had shrunk and became brittle so it had to go. Should be here by Friday. I've seen a best of 45.7 at 7700 rpm and I am thrilled with how it runs. Only have probably 2-3 more weeks of rideable weather left then it goes in the shed under a cover with a tender on it till spring arrives. I am completely hooked and just put a deposit down on a Honda Grom! This will be my toy, and hopefully start my 13yr old son riding it in the spring.

Thanks. The TT mount was kind of borrowed from Brent and modified a little bit. Has worked out real well so far.

Actually, the version I did on mine in the topic "My Scoot thus Far" came out much better. I suck using windows paint.

Do you think if I used enamel (like for pin stripping) it would work OK? I was going to spray on the black (flat) background and then brush in the teeth.
