I see that you updated them to 12mm The BBK were always in 12mm the crankshaft thread though shows only 10mm cranks. Can't update without loosing the votes.

My plan as for now is...
Athena 12mm crank Polini Sport 12mm piston set 19mm Dellorto or 21mm OKO

Still the Athena crank Athena Evolution BBK kit 12mm Polini race 4 exhaust Carb one of the above
I am just about done with the break in of the Polini Sport and it would be a good chance to compare the cases power wise. If i would slap in an Athena BBK kit i have to go through another break in process and to be honest i am tired of holding back, i want to WOT the shit out of it and drive like crazy. Plus i would need more then a V8 exhaust pipe for the Evolution kit. Until now i tried to keep the rpms around 6000 for the first 500km as it says in the Polini manual and i think i followed that rule for 95% until now.
My current setup is still somewhat normal and doesn't drag the cops attention. If i would slap on a pipe and Athena BBK i will need to upgrade my license since i am not allowed to drive anything above 50cc and such a setup will attract attention for sure.

Then you should get the 21mm carb because you don't want to have to buy two carbs. I wonder how well it'll work with that cylinder? Although you don't have to switch carbs right now to run the Polini cylinder that you have. Yeah, get the 21 OKO

I didn't really break mine in...with the first start just a bit revving the engine standing next to it...You need to vari the throttle a lot to feel how far off you are mixture wise. Otherwise you'll risk taking a lean running engine out for its first ride...you dont want that! These where the first moments of life: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nganmBmHdn0Then after a few minutes of revving and you take it out on the road no longer than 2/3 seconds WOT and a lot of variation in revs. Don't stress the engine a lot and don't go all out. After that...i drove mine like i always do... Wow about polini! They have a 4th version of their 4 race exhaust? I have the 4 race 1, but i still need to test it on my metrakit. Dunno when im gonna do that but i'll give you a heads up

I was always a fan of the Polini stuff and my first choice would have been the Polini Corsa Kit but since that comes only with a 10mm pin it was out of the race but now I found this 12mm Polini Corsa Piston?So there is a Piston with 12mm? And it says for "Piaggio NRG / Stalker / Honda" does it even matter what Scooter it is when it comes to Pistons? If it matters why not for Yamaha then?

A lot of people disagree with this method so I just keep to myself. But I've not had a single failure in all the 2T's I've built. Unless you count that time that I didn't seat a wrist pin clip all the way?

I ran a Polini Corsa with a 12mm S-6 crank for a few years. It needs the boost port enlarged, On the 12mm Honda piston. It is a cutout on the Honda style corsa piston, and on the yamaha it is windowed piston. I just enlarged the cutout to match up with the height of the windows. It worked great. You need to stay with a Corsa styled piston for it has a higher cylinder height.
