Sorry for the HuGe delay but that looks/sounds like one heck of a cool dog!
I am a dog lover through and through for LIFE!
Here are some pics of our new buddy we got as a rescue back in Oct.
This is Peenut when he first got here in Oct.

Peenut and my good ole boy Torquer playin
Chillin in his cage with his nose pokin out.I am not much for cages and dogs unless its for travel, or VERY temporary. More on that later..
I LOVE this pic of Peenut and my lovely wife.
Another good one. Would be perfect if Peenut hadnt blinked
And i gotta share one for the great memories with my wife and I,s first dog together in our first home. He was a good boy with probably the most gentle soul dog ive ever seen.
This was his favorite type weather in this old pic. RIP Tiny Metzger 11/99-5/11
Back to our new edition Peenut. Back in late August i think it was, he wondered up to a guy i know place along the creek and not too far at all from a public trail/swim spot.
The guy i know assumed he got away from people swimming in the creek nearby as this has happened many times there. He waited around, left notes, looked for the owners along the creek and houses nearby to no av-vale. After seeing and hearing updates on the little guy i ended up telling my friend i would take him in if he needed a place, IF he gets along with Torquer?
Torque has been with us since before he was born as i breed his parents with keeping one of their offspring for our own from the get. So he was planned you could say
We brought Peenut home and let him right on in... Ive found this way the best way to introduce dogs to Torquer. Might sounds weird but it works! Ive taken him to strange(to him) places to meet other dogs and it did work out so well
.
And it seems any dog around his size or bigger he wants to fight right away, almost like he just wants it done and over right now?? That part i have not figured out.. He is getting too old to try lol.
Back to Peenut, so him and Torque get along good from day one. We soon found out though that Peenut was quite the terrier! We dont really like cages and keeping dogs in them so i never really thought about caging Peenut when we left the house or slept, company, anything..
He is/was potty trained so whats the big deal i thought? That was before i found that he had a nasty habit of Peeing everywhere (most all places not seen) when we left him here alone.
We noticed a spot in my sons room and that got us interested in a pee like smell in our dinning room. We got out flashlights and could see/smell signs of "spot pissing" or territory marking.
We kept looking and kept finding. When i saw piss on my Cherwin Vega,s i said "thats it"!
We started using the cage for when we left but he seemed to like it otherwise sometimes. Like as if he was comfortable. We also noticed he would run to it if he was in trouble or if you just said "cage".
One of the other downfalls at first was the aggression
. Ive breed and raised many Bully breeds in my life but never once have been bitten or even close to being bitten until this guy got me (atrb_partsz). Bit my figure good when i tried to show him where he made a "mistake"
in my sons room again. At first i was ready get rid of, or flat kill the lil SOB. In fact i was so mad i told my wife to get him out, if i saw him again ide kill him. I mean he bit to the bone and really messed up a nerve.
She made some calls and was basically told the only option was getting him euthanized. If we tried to give him away to others and he bit we would be held responsible, etc, etc..
After hearing that i got even more angry, but not at Peenut so much anymore. By that time i was settling down and trying to figure out through his eyes why he bit. And i did!
I was down right angry at the way they wanted to do Peenut for one bight! Death for a bight on the finger! If us humans got that treatment not too many of us would be here reading this post.
I simply cannot believe they dont think its possible to change/rehabilitate a dog.
So, here we are in February and i must say with allot of patience (us and the dog) he has done a total 180. He went from a "im not gonna trust you", non compassion, non lap dog, my way or the highway, angry dog to a great member of our family.
I had to do some research to learn ways to deal with some of his behavior as i hadnt seen them.
Nor have i ever had a smaller dog.
With some work, some patients and him teaching me, me teaching him he has turned out well. And smart, boy is he smart.
Dang, longest post ive made in a long time (puke)
