That would be a real shame to have them put to sleep. I know it's a tough time for shelters. Was reports of people getting pets here, just because they were bored in the first 3 months lockdown.

if I had my own place I would keep him and bring him around. always wanted an Airedale too . had a gold tabby around 2001. 1st time we met he walked up to me and climbed up my pants and into my arms. came home from work one day took a nap ,woke up a while later and he was curled up in a dead sleep in the middle of my back. he had feline leukemia when we met- we lasted about a year .

Consider getting the male cut, then keeping it? Cats are trainable.
bad luck with the fe-luke, I lost a few that way myself.

I never posted anything, but I lost my best buddy 4 1/2 months ago. She suffered from a bad spine most of her adult life. Medication helped her. And she never complained. One day I was walking her and she collapsed. Couldn't get her breath, and wouldn't move. Rushed her to the vets. While there She got a bit better.I Kept her in that day, and when I picked her up. She couldn't get out of there fast enough. Two weeks later she had a fit, and stopped breathing. She only came around when our other dog started licking her face. she was never the same after. I couldn't put her through any more pain. And three days later was put to sleep, in my arms eating treats. Hardest thing I have ever done. I still miss her every day.

Our other dog has not been the same since. So after a couple of weeks getting to know each other, Friday this young lady came to stay.

they're both beautiful Rusty was 13 . mom did that and told us later. in her last couple of years she didn't like to get her feet wet in the morning. so she would stand with 3 legs on the sidewalk and lift the other one to pee. wouldn't walk in the yard when the grass was wet with dew . my dad was a private pilot for a little while in 67-68. the boss owner let him fly us to Miami from N. Car for Xmas holiday . . Rusty had her litter at 10,000 feet . no kidding . found out when we landed . Dad took it pretty well . I don't remember having to clean the carpet or anything . that was a first.

Jloi, those two in flight shots which show the barred pattern on the tail and the black white black trailing edge of the wing should help you nail it to a particular hawk.
