I rode 16 country miles to work today. 39° at 5:00am this mooring was a little bit chilly but it warmed up and was prefect for the ride home.

Going to ride the MC54 260 to work today. 32°F and light snow, but new 13 inch tires, and a good screen will help a little. Its just too damn cold to walk today. I figure a ten minute ride beats a thirty to forty five minute walk in the snow.....maybe...

I road in when clear and 35° during this coronavirus/covid19 flu pandemic. This evening the weather should be beautiful for my ride home.

I was finally able to ride Maddy, the 70cc Chinarelli, back to work today. Been fighting carb issues and a bad piston (wrist pin had wallowed out the pin-hole so the piston was knocking). All last week and Monday & Tuesday of this week I have been riding Scootie the funmachine and I actually have him dialed back in. The trip is 13 miles one way now, instead of 1.5, so I gotta make sure these things are running top notch now.
Maddy is SO MUCH more fun to ride. She feels more solid, mostly because she weighs a TON, and with the engine and carb dialed in she has a lot of power and speed at hand. I pulled my little trailer today, and even with that thing attached and loaded up she still hits 50mph in the headwind and I don't even notice the trailer is there.
Now to just figure out the Stella engine's knocking noise because I would completely rather ride Sonja in daily...
Anyone else lucky enough to still have work?

Work, yes, but no commute. At the end of the, I hop on two wheels and pretend there's a commute home.
BTW, scoot shops must be considered "essential" business in FL. All the bike shops are closed up here.

All the bike shops are closed up here. Any vehicle repair or parts supply is deemed essential - which we are just that (also warehouses are essential so we kinda doubled up). Bicycle shops are essential as well here, I still talk to the employees at the bicycle shop I worked at and they are slammed with repairs right now.

I miss riding to work. Sucks I rode all through the bad weather and cold. And now the weather is improving I've not ridden for nearly three weeks now. Longest time I have not ridden a scooter, or motorcycle for about 20 years. 😢

My work or main task at the moment is to round up daily essentials, they won,t fit in the scoot so I am reduced to being a "cager" it is embarrasing, and I,m sure scoot is jealous but I do start it up everyday.
