ok i'm lookin for a malossi overrange kit for my new 90cc minarelli. g-force powersports has a so called custom kit for large spline minarelli but will not give the malossi part #s for the kit so i looked at malossi's website an made a table OverRange Kit | Kit # | MULTIVAR 2000 MHR | REAR PULLEY SYSTEM | Kevlar Belt | FIXED PULLEY | Drr DRX 90 2T | 6114569 | 5114570 | 6111121 | 6111108 | 6111120 | MINARELLI YAMAHA | 6112811 | 5112800 | 619733 | 6114116 | 619731 | MINARELLI YAMAHA | 6112812 | 5112800 | 6111121 | 6111108 | 6111120 |
it looks like the DDR 2t quad kit is the one that their sayin is a custom kit for the large spline long case engines. i assume the yamaha kits are both small spline with one long and one short case. so just want someone to confirm my thoughts about useing the ddr kit.

ok looking closer, the Malossi 90cc/Big Bore Over Range custom Kit $399 use 19x15 rollers like the rest that ive seen and the ddr kit $369 uses 16x13 rollers. well i think i might spend the extra $30 and get the custom kit. man thats expensive, i've seen complete power up kits (bbk, vario, pipe, carb, and other odds-n-ends) for that much. so i guess the $400 question is "is it worth it"

If you buy a BBK, vari, pipe, carb, etc... for $400 combined, they aren't serious racing parts. The kit Robert got is. It's kind of like comparing a generic 70cc kit to a Stage 6 R/T. Two different leagues.

I think it was well worth it! But then again i have spent hours on hours tuning vari,s and rear pulley,s for more performance. This kit was bolt on, find the right weight, and let it rip! Right out of the box this kit blows all my modding out the window! I (we) was on the right track with all our tricks and tips as described in the tech section. But we cant compensate for the size of the pulleys in the OR kit.

90GTVert- yea i know it's like the ole sayin "you get what you pay for" i'm just supprised no one has made a cheap knock-off version. 2strokd- i know what you mean, spend hours tunning testing, tune some more, test some more, two steps forward go just a bit to far and fall back three steps. well i will be getting the kit, $400 is cheaper than 3 or 4 varios, all the time modding the varios, down time an all, that but i think it might have to wait just a bit 'cause i just dropped a wad of cash with carlos from autotech355. i got the race spring set, 54mm bbk, and the 45mm stroker crank (the one with the orange stuffers). so i think i'll wait till i get that all up an running. thank you guys for the help
