You can add more preload by installing a spacer under the spring above the adjuster. Experiment with different thickness. If you wanted to take it for a spin temporary install a rigid strut. I wouldn't leave it in there though.

I don't have anything big enough to fit at the moment. I'm going to try to stiffen the preload back and see how it performs, Motor wise. I've seen a little on rebuilding these. Looks to be a project on It's own. More tools needed as usual....

Try a piece of pvc pipe under the coil

Good thinking. I'll also need shock oil. And more research. Right now, trying to find a plug boot that fits. Just had a little scare. It just died looked down, cap off and plug almost falling out. Whoops. Forgot to tighten that lol.

He should be able to wind in a fair bit more preload surely? /I've got no idea how much thread these shocks have on the body.

I've got it pretty tight. Seems to be sufficient until the riser gets here. Gotta lot of tuning to do. I'm not sure how far off on jetting or cvt i am. It starts with basically one turn of the starter. Better than any bike I've ever had.

Oh boy, quick trip to the bank, before leaving the driveway I found out that my plate hits the tire. Had to reposition that. Then, apparently I forgot to hook up the left side controls, so no signals or lights lol. Cut my trip short to take care of these. The cvt setup is way off. My s9 kills this thing, take off and top end. But I knew it wouldn't be right from the get go. I'll have the first ride video up shortly.

Carb is jetted almost perfect, nice caramel color on the new plug. Might go a step hotter. Watch my clearance fail with my plate right at the beginning lol. I just disassembled the cvt. Very solid components. 103mm variator, 128mm rear pulley, 41.5mm boss drive. Gotta mark things and record weights to see what I'm working with. Hopefully these stiffer clutch springs that drc174 sent me will work with this clutch. Engagement is way way way too early. youtu.be/znT3bzi1bzk

Most of the stock 90cc+ stuff seems to have real mild compression and squish from what I've seen. It took using a modified 70cc head to get the compression up and get my 90cc Mina really moving. IDK if this is the case with yours, but the 90cc+ stuff usually needs "some waking up".

It seems lacking. Might be looking into that bbk sooner than I thought. But I'm gonna try a larger carb first. The clutch springs are those kind with one side longer, so no springs for me... I wonder if it's possible to put a smaller clutch and bell safely? Less rotational mass, quicker rpm wind up, right?
