Hey everyone name is Dan I'm from Connecticut. My buddy had gotten into a wreck with this scooter and was going to junk it although it still runs and drives fine. Most of the body is gone from the accident and since he was giving it away I decided to grab it and piece it back together slowly as I live relatively close to my job and figured what the hell. The problem is I can't figure out what it is to get parts for it! It's a 2 stroke and the seat says alpha sport on it, drum brakes front and rear. I work on exotic cars so don't mind some of the temporary fixes. I welded a connecting rod as a kick start since it didn't have one, and have a cut down 911 shifter as the kick stand with a temporary make shift floor, all will be fixed when I figure out what she is! If anyone could help out I would greatly appreciate it as it needs new brake shoes pretty badly as well as many other things which you can clearly see! Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure that's a Minarelli motor, but I have no idea what the scoot is. I'm sure though that with all the members here that someone will recognize it.

Welcome to the forum. Does it have and markings on the engine? Like underneath the CVT cover right above the kickstand or on the swingarm by the shock mount? Maybe a Triton or older Venio? Just guessing. 90GTVert or Fox would most likely know right away if it's one of those two.

Definitely the coolest kicker I've seen. It's a Minarelli/Jog clone (1E40QMB). Looks like a short case. I'm not sure what the scooter itself is. Alpha Sports Kaliber maybe? If you google Alpha Sports scooter, a site will come up with parts and you can look at various parts and maybe tell what you have.

Thanks for the replies guys, I looked for numbers under the case earlier and didn't see any but I'll take another look when I get to the shop tomorrow. There is what appears to be a vin or serial number on the right side of the frame if I can look it up that way.
I had tried googling alpha sports a while ago and I'm not sure if they went out of business or what but there isn't much information on the company and the parts list descriptions are pretty vague on the site, I may be better off measuring the shoes and going that route, it's just tough finding the rest of the body for it unless I can make something else fit.
I'm located in New Milford

I'm really not as concerned with the body but would be nice to find some pieces, more importantly is the lack of braking power and also the rear wheel has a wobble to it so also trying to locate a wheel and tire, it does look awfully similar to the kaliber.. How interchangeable are these scooter parts?

Parts are interchangeable across many brands, but there are things to look out for. You'll want to check the splines on the axle and diameter before you order a wheel because there are different sizes. Make sure the drum diameter matches up on the new wheel too. The rear drum seems to be the same on most Chinese scoots, but the Yamaha Minarelli stuff is different at least.

Just to clarify, it is a Chinese scoot but they used Yamaha motors? Also it is definitely a 50cc? I only ask because it's surprisingly quick !
