I just saw a field bike MZ on FB for £475 aeroxbud not run for about 20 years I think 🤔 That bike must have been buried in a field near the sea for 20 years. I really hate rust and corrosion. I studied it in engineering school. Nature seems to hate metal, but then nature hates wood also.

The Moon has moved too far away from Earth to get a totality anymore. It has been that way for many years now. All we get is a dark shadow within a halo. As a kid we got to see the Moon completely cover the Sun which was spectacular. Things change...

I remember at school we got given a piece of Kodak negative each to look at the eclipse in a science lesson in the 60's at school so we didn't do any damage to our eyes FrankenMech. Last full coverage of the moon or as complete I remember was approx 10.00 in the morning GMT in 1999 it went darker and that was something as all the birds went quiet.

LOL I remember those film negatives. We had to pass them around. There wern't enough for everyone. I don't remember dates for anything. I have seen a lot of eclipse', comets, planets, over the years. Most astronomical phenomena are too blurry for my eyes now even with glasses and telescopes. I don't even look up anymore. It is strange to hear the birds go silent. It must scare the crap out of animals. It used to scare the crap out of people LOL

I remember that one Milly. The light went a strange red colour first. It was strange hearing all the birds stop singing almost as one. The only eclipse I've seen.

Remember UK stands for Urinal Kreek... God pisses on it regularly LOL
Those old world style country roads are just barely improved, centuries old, cart paths wandering among the fields. The cart paths just followed even older foot trails. There was no engineered drainage system back then. Life moved slower and 'rain delays' were expected. People just shrugged their shoulders and drank another tankard of ale.

You are so right FrankenMech our valley was carved out by glaciers then bog land followed by ancient man walking by the sides on the level we on as a iron settlement was discovered in the old pub car park which is right next to the road. Then the Roman's came and settled the area for the lead, gold and silver and made a few roads and new road across the valley not long discovered by Lidar mapping. Then followed the decline of them roads for a bit till probably industrial revolution and railways and good old tar is laid upon them. I have to drive to London soon with all that traffic that's going to be fun. Almost traffic free round here except for tractors, land rovers and the offal lorry picking up dead things from the farm's. Funnily enough I have noticed an increase in motorcycles and scooters 125cc and below now public transport has been cut right back.
