Lambretta back from son and first ride out in memory on it for a while for coffee. Lovely to have it but have a feeling these low down vacuum pumps on underfloor tanks allow fuel to Syphon back from carb as always a bit of cranking to start. Maybe time for electric pump maybe check plug but sure that's newish.

Believe me, those vacuum pumps are total crap. I removed mine and went with a low pressure electric 'solenoid' pump powered off the headlight circuit with a battery powered 'prime' button. The vacuum pump should not drain fuel out of the carb though so scoot should start with a full fuel bowl. Maybe adjust the idle mix a little richer by 1/4 turn and see if that helps or makes the problem worse. Otherwise the enrichment circuit can cause problems on warm starts. The damn things are always operating at the wrong time. I ended up removing and plugging mine.

Can you imagine the fun the owner has combing the bug guts out of that?
