I got a little video today. Two of my friends were around that are the same weight. One of them owns the 150cc GY6 that sits in my garage. Time to see what my scoot can do vs a GY6 with equal weight riders. The GY6 has a modified exhaust, running no air filter right now, and rejetted carb.
The guy riding my scoot said it didn't feel quite right taking off for the first race. I think it may have still been cold (only 1 mile from my house). Either way it won at the end. He said it felt better the second time, and it showed. I know some 70cc scoots would smoke a 150cc with the mods he has, but I'm happy with it. The rider of my scoot got it to 60MPH in that distance (1/4 mile or so).
There was a little more racing, though not scoot related if anyone's interested...
2008 CBR600RR vs 2006 CBR600RR
Sorry, I parked by an irrigation pump 'cause it was one of the only spots to pull off of the road completely.
2008 CBR600RR vs 2001 Ford Mustang GT
This is what a 14 second car looks like vs a 10 second sportbike from a stop and then from a 55MPH roll.
All of these videos were computer generated. No actual racing occurred. Safety first.

good stuff . I always figured your scoot would beat a 150 but i thought it would end up flat smokin it. I guess the most the 150,s around here are stock and restricted. I like it. thanks for sharing ;D

I think the problem is that my 99cc runs more like a 150cc. It's more torque oriented thatn the 70cc scoots. Mines just fun for a big dude to ride around. Most of the nasty scoots are high revving 70ccs with transmissions tuned to stay revved all the time. I'm sure the 99cc could be much better with more aggressive porting and tuning, but I already get 40MPG and I don't wanna dip much lower.

Go ahead and get that 150 on it's way to my house then Bob. You know I can't own anything without modding it.

Hey no punt intended there, your scoot IS quick . My scoot is a torquey shit too, i bought the Polini bb because i wanted low-end and i got it. Its probably not quite as quick as yours but definitely allot of torque. Sometimes i cant help but wonder what it would be like to wind it up past 11,000 and be flying along at about 70mph, i just dont want to give up my low-end. I would like a GY6 to play around with also, when i do get one i think im gonna make Skeedr a stunt scoot ;D Brent, isnt your cylinder a stock setup? I know its a 90+cc but isnt the cylinder stock? I know the one that was on it when you got it had messed up exhaust threads...Just curious, because that would make a diff in how your port timing is but you already knew that . Now that im thinking about it i remember you making a degree wheel and checking your port timing. lol Just cant remember what cylinder you used.

I used a 54mm cylinder from Autotech355 on eBay. It's pretty much like a stocker. 52mm is stock. It's got a round exhaust port on the 54mm and the stocker was only a half circle. The ports are basically identical to the stock one (before I had it milled), timing and all. It's definitely not a screaming performance cylinder, but I'm not real sure where to get 'em for these motors. I can find Stage 6 and Polini stuff easily for 70cc kits, not for 100cc.

Thats true, i hadnt thought about it that way, of course im not shopping for 100cc cylinders...Yet. I bet just having the exhaust port opened up makes a big diff though.?.

It sure can't hurt. I know having the timing correct made a huge difference. lol
