I chopped into the clusterfuck of a wiring harness today, got the CDI and coil isolated. Have spark. It made noise off a shot of ether down the intake soninwrnt ahead and booked up the carb and tank. It starts and runs sort of. Well enough I'm optimistic about it being an easy project.
Gonna go ahead and order the chain and adjusters and start sorting out the wiring proper.

Got the chain and shifter in today. Then couldn't get a spark. I haven't redone the wiring harness yet, just had a tangle of CDI hanging off the side. I'm gonna wait until I have it wired properly to worry too much about that.

How it looks now. Still needs some work, but it's rideable.

Love the retro looks, they are very in at the moment. Is that exhaust very loud?

Got some Tomos bars on there. Almost where i want them, but not flat enough.
Rode it enough tonight to flatten the center lumps on the rear wheel. I really need to find some street tires. Anyone got suggestions on a good 110/??-14 rear tire?

Michelin City Grip Rear Tire 110/80 R14, Michelin Power Pure SC 120/80 R14, Metzeler FeelFree 120/80 R14, Pirelli Diablo 120/80 R14, Avon AM63 Viper Stryke 120/70 OR 120/80 R14 found on BikeBandit.com The City Grip seams to be the only constant tyre I can find for your size. Could be the only way to go but the 120's shouldn't hurt you.
