Mine is a very old AOL 2.0 Screen name. It was back when I first used AOL and was signing up, every name I wanted to use was taken and AOL suggested eclark5483, so I thought "eh, fuck it", so I took it. I've only used this name, and "Phreakwars" over the years. Don't really use the Phreakwars name much anymore on forums, unless I'm trolling. But I do use it on other sites besides forums... like Facebook, Twitter, etc, etc.

Im a huge Ace Frehley fan. I actually us it as a nickname. Started out back when you could only put 3 letters in when you made a high score on a video game. Thought my initials were boring and started using A C E. And it just kinda stuck.

SandStorm (later shortened to Sand by friends) All started back in 2002, and have several meanings. The first is because I'm like a sandstorm. May look innocent, but once fed up, see what happens when the strong wind carries sand  able to cover entire cities :v But it's also related to darude's sandstorm music. It's my usual theme song |

God Bless My Mom. This is one of those "What can I say?" moments. But, of course, best wishes for you both. My screen name doesn't have any meaning. I just picked three words almost out of thin air in order to avoid underscores or large numeral chains and such. And I use it pretty much everywhere I go on the net. My avatar is merely a copy of a joke photo I put together for my youngest daughter when she graduated from Junior High School. it's the family dog, who's still with us and a genuine best friend. It's not easy to see in this avatar, but I used MS Paint to give him beady little eyes and crooked, ugly front teeth. It's a parody of the dreaded 'bad school picture'. |

My last name is Fox. When I joined I used "jmstar50" cause my first scoot was just that but I changed my username after I sold it. I still have to log in as jmstar50. That was the old forum format. I'm not sure if you can change your username with the new Proboards format.  |

Well, Pirate Labs is a company I have been working on putting together for several years now. My computer name used to be Pirate back in the old bulletin board days (early 80's) and then, years later, I was attempting to sign up to some forum using that name and of course, it was taken. So after trying about 20 permutations, all of which were taken, the software suggested Pirate88179, and I have used that for about 30 years. So, since my Dad had worked at Bell Labs for many years, I decided to start a company called Pirate Labs.
Not a cool story but...there it is.

I came up with my user name 13 years ago (I was 13 then, go figure). It was back when Yahoo user-created chat rooms were still available and thriving. Call it being a young, unique, weird kid but I picked that name because anime was "the thing" when I was that age. It's japanese and (roughly) translates to Shadow Angel. I use this name on most forums I frequent with a few numbers at the end sometimes but the only other word I will add is Yuumei (KageYuumeiTenshi). Yuumei is roughly translated as Light/Dark. Kind of like a balance or Yin/Yang.

In 2003 a group of friends and I started a horrorcore rap label named Dead Body Records, my original name was Captain Suicide but I really didn't like it. Later on I came up with "phatman" because it sounded like batman but at the time I was overweight, so it fit. Also phatman was supposed to be a cartoony fictional character anyway kinda like the Gorillaz band did. Phatmans nemesis was Richard Simmons. I sounded really white in the songs so I started octaving my voice to 85% and I sounded like a big fat black dude. My friend said I sound extra phat so I changed my stage name to phatmanXXL. It just sounded right. You can find my YouTube channel and Facebook band page with a Google search. I don't do much music anymore (mainly because I drop the weed habit and lost some of my creativity, I always composed music when I was high) but I like the name so I use it whenever I can. I also call my son phatboy, and when I become a grandpa my name will be Big Poppa Phat.  |
