The main part of the scooter is that color. The shield that the caps are on is black and so are the caps.

Ya I noticed most the stuff comes in funky colors. Those little pieces along with most the inside plastics will be getting a coat of satin black- same as the other blue bugeye flip I did. I did the "heatgun trick" on a few pieces last night and they turned out pretty good. Almost tempted to just call them good and throw them on haha. I'll have new pieces mixed with used so they should look good all in matching satin.

Got a little time last night and decided I should deal with these broken off mirrors sooner than later. Both mirrors were actually connected when I bought the scoot but they needed to come off to get it in the back of my minivan. They were rusted in and I proceeded to break them both off while trying to remove them right there in the parking lot of the shop I bought it at. Doh! I have been squirting some WD-40 on them here and there for a few days now hoping for an easy extraction- NOPE! In the end I ended up just drilling through them and making the holes much larger and tapping them. Cut off some bolts and did some quick welding- voila! We have mirrors again! Partzilla order arrived today! I had to wait until my wee daughter went to sleep to bring the parts out in the garage as she immediately commandeered the seat bucket as her own... Little Stinker!!

Thanks for all the kind words fellas! Parent Advisory: Nude scoot! Getting powerwashed... Slung some paint, polished some parts and badaboom badabing- she's done! Well, except for the little rubber Yamaha thingy's- they didn't seem to like the original silver paint I tried so they just got satin black like all the other parts... Tomorrow I'll take it out in the sunshine and take some pics for Craigslist. Oh yeah, I'll need to add some fuel as the oil pump works good + the premix I put in it = super smokey ride. She runs great and everything works. I'm happy she's done!
