I like to nickname my vehicles, and she's Gillian Anderson. :v currently looks like this: What I'm about to do: -> removing CVT cover to give it a lick of paint. Unsure if I paint it dark, or if I paint it aluminium color. -> ordered new start switch -> ordered new starter relay -> Thinking to smoke a tiny bit the little light from the handlebar ->thinking about giving a red smoke on rear side blinkers. Or replace them with clear lenses. (which one should be best option...) -> Thinking to give a strong red paint coat in the front panel, to be as vivid red as the remaining of other panels.

Pull the plug and put bit of fuel, or something combustible into the cylinder. Hopefully she'll fire right up.

More fun with my hot redhead. Topped 2stroke oil (castrol) and filled her up with 98 premium fuel. Wanted to check the tranny oil level but I was scared to break the dipstick, and since I was unable to reach the drain hole... I'll trust a pro to see it for me. Fitted my new relay, still no life signals from electric starter. Went for my second ride, I'm getting better. Topped at 75km h, so it is 46, almost 47mph

Just takes time to pull all the damn plastics off.

Fun never stops, today had one helluvah long ride and actually now she drank little. Tomorrow I'll bleed the front brake (now the rear brake light turns on when I press it, so it fixed by itself) and will have the gera oil changed. Meanwhile, when hot after starting, and idling a bit, she just dies. actually died twice when braking going to a stop. So, I took out my air filter (sponge) and will clean it, since I find it dirty. Now the problem is, I do not have those sprays. The filter is dry anyways... Can I just wash it with water, dry and then soak a bit in 2T oil?

Sandstorm, Where do you get 98 octane gas? Best I can get for my 2t is 93 octane.
On the spark-plugs, usually the "R" satands for resister. Basically this keeps noise out of the radio, but has nothing to do with performance.

I live in portugal, europe and basically almost all petrol stations have the 98 one. (say 80%)

It's important to know that fuels are rated using different methods in other areas, so octane can't be directly compared easily. (RON + MON)/2 is the common US method. Look at the stickers on the pump and you should be able to find (R+M)/2. Many other countries just use RON. More info : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating

44050kms
Today works: -> greased front brake lever -> bled front brake -> replaced trans fluid -> had to replace starter bushes -> cleaned and lubed Bendix
Now.. I need a couple of bolts bcs she's missing many. Weird enough, the exhaust had been welded in the curvature that goes to the pipe... plus is missing one bolt. Need rear wheel mudguard\flap thing to avoid dirt getting into the carb. Got a tiny hole near the little muffler exit. I noticed some oily leaks in the exhaust union to the cilinder head.

The same as premium here basically, aside from some high elevation regions that may have lower octane fuels. I didn't know about this years ago. I remember being angry when a group of exchange students asked what fuel I used in my Mustang and I said 92-93. They said even stock cars and beaters use 95-98 back home and they didn't even have many sports cars or hot rods around like here. I had to buy in 5 gallon cans or drive 30 minutes to get more than 94 octane. I was so disappointed in the US fuel supply at that moment.
