LB, do i understand correctly that you took 1.5mm to 0 off both the inner and outer faces ? with such cuts done i can get real close on the washer from the "half the thickness of the locking washer" desciption.
190, yes the Derbi is a cool piece of engineering, probably the only mid-engine scooter out there.
this was my basic idea with the cvt scooter engine in the streamliner. at first i concieved it as rear mounted so that i would have some suspension. then the chain idea came along and i began to see real advantages to moving the engine forward, so i am looking at fabing a swingarm.
the Derbi weighs 227#, has 14" wheels and a rear disk no telling how much the swingarm, wheel, brake etc. weighs but my next stop will be parts catalog for the Derbi : ))
thnaks to both of you guys for the support, steve

Can you imagine the gear ratio,s you could come up with having a CVT and sprockets would be fun to play with no doubt!

Hey LB,
have you had any charging problems ?
my guy is back says his new battery won't hold a charge for more than a few days.
i'll have to check the output and see if i'll need to move the wiring around. i wouldn't have thought so because the wires coming off the engine were the same color and in the same place in the connector as the stock Vento Triton harness.
everyone else chime in too please.
thanks, steve
