Hey! Truth is, I haven't done a baseline test. The scoot isn't registered yet. I just couldn't wait to put a pipe on it! I've done some research and found that some big bore guys are running a 21mm carb. It the spigot fits, I might transplant the dellorto off my minarelli project onto this one. Do you have a build thread on yours? scooterswapshop.com/collections/spree/products/polini-carb-kit-for-stock-manifold?variant=8124480773I haven't put one in mine yet, I wanna give it a good break in first and see what I'm getting on the Dyno with the stock carb using a 90 jet. The 90 is the size that came with the BBK I put in. The sweet spot is somewhere between 87-90 on these engines. And if you are gonna go with a Polini carb upgrade, go with a 19mm.

Thanks for sharing the link! 200 is a bit steep, but it comes with everything. 90 main jet might be the short term fix

I wouldn't use a 90 jet if you don't have a big bore kit. Use maybe a 72 or 74.

I wouldn't use a 90 jet if you don't have a big bore kit. Use maybe a 72 or 74. Treat land has a good selection of jets. I don't want to put money into a crappy carb, but I'm not ready to spend the big bucks on the carb upgrade. So! Time for another order!

Just ordered a handful of jets. Should be a week before another update on this one.

Skipping the foreplay and going straight to the 90 swap.
TO DO:
-Fab the engine mount -Figure out shock mounting -Figure out wiring to run auxiliaries.

Hello Gang! Here's the long story of what happened!
I was so unhappy with the stock performance of the original engine I clearly was on the road to swap it out with a 90cc Mina clone I had. Well, I am saving the 90cc engine for my express project and found a super cheap 50cc clone that really fit the bill for this.
After stalling on this project , I sold it to a member of the local scooter club. After hitting him up to see how progress was going, I finally broke in and told him drop the parts back off at my garage so I could finish what I started.
Here is the parts list/mods: Spree Frame Honda Metropolitan steering stem (modified) Standard Metro forks, wheels, brakes. Ruckus bars and controls Chinese 50cc minarelli clone Malossi 70cc BBK Dellorto 17.5 carb w/ manual choke. Yasuni pipe ( restrictor removed ) Full Hoca OEM plus CVT replacements parts: Variator, clutch, rear pulley. Amazon 315mm rear shock I'm probably missing something but it's been a hoot to build and it really flies!
Now onto the tuning and GPS speed testing.

My final parts list to get mine up past 45 is: Tazland BBK (professionally ported by Joe Daniels) www.ebay.com/itm/222655977308Tazland Carb adapter kit (-21mm carb that comes with it) www.ebay.com/itm/372098707484Tazland 15:81 gears www.ebay.com/itm/37213975953517mm Polini CP carb (38 pilot/102 main) scooterswapshop.com/products/polini-cp-carbTakeoff on it really sucks since it has such high gears and no CVT, but once you get up to about 12-15mph, it really picks up fast. Currently working on another one with the exact same setup except using lower gears this time around for better stop and go driving. That one does way better at launch, but only tops out around 35 or so. After that one is finished, I'm working on an Indian AMI-50 restoration, then I have a 3rd Spree in my garage that I'll be doing an engine swap on. I have a variated AF05E for it, but I'm kind of thinking AF16 swap instead.

I have no frame wiring. I only have the cdi and coil wired up with a kill switch. Building a full harness may happen later. I picked up the bike last night and got started on it this morning. I tore it down, repainted the frame and put it back together. I took it for a quick ride around the neighborhood and Wow! This thing is quick. It was breaking up at WOT so I"ll need to read the plug and see what's going on there. Enjoy the pics!
