I have over a million 127k on my '94 Chevy... Doesn't drip a leak That's a LOT of miles without any oil in an engine! Lol 😊

Worked on the scoot today, Adjusted valves this morning, went for a ride warmed everything up and changed the engine and gearbox oil.
Found my faux Uni filter is disintegrating...oil from the crankcase vent ate the glue holding everything together...need to buy a new filter and work on a oil catch.

It is a 5 door Opel Corsa B, just rebadged as a Holden Barina for the Aussie/NZ markets. Yep. It says opel corsa under the hood. The Holden badge is pretty meaningless these days. Mostly just rebadged gm cars or others.

Ahhh, great minds, I just rebuilt my shower head assy and added a shut-off valve. I made my own water flow limiter from a rubber disk and installed it before the shut-off valve. I use one of those hose connected shower heads so I can rinse the shower walls off. The water flow limiters are usually in the shower head piece so there is a lot of pressure on the hose assy. I prefer that the pressure is on the metal pipes. Plumbing sucks though.
I also changed out some incandescent bulbs for LED bulbs in a ceiling fixture and my porch light. I have to wait until dark to see if the dimmable LED bulb works OK in the porch light. A regular LED bulb did not work well. The porch light is controlled by a motion detector and a photocell.
EDIT-UPDATE: The dimmable LED bulb seems to be working OK in the porch light fixture.

Swapped the carb off my newest (but roughest) Suzuki powered mower onto one of my others that had a leaky float valve -the rubber valve seat has perished and isn't available any more, have ordered a new Chinese clone carb though. Just had to clean all the water/oily/rusty sludge out of the new one first! Runs perfect now though. Also started to do a full rebuild on my newest engine, 121cc of Suzuki 2t glory haha Fighting the urge to widen the ports, DIY spanny and try to get max power out of it! It'll end up with the ports deburred and cleaned up a bit at least though. Can you tell it has been ran a while without an air filter...? Surprisingly it still ran and cut grass like this!

Yeah it's a real mess! Have the crank and cases soaking in diesel until I gather all the parts, unless I can locate some Toro bits in the US it looks like it's going to be Chinese rings going into it.

Crashed into a ditch in the little corsa dodging some stupid ducks. Thankfully the mud was wet and nothing broke, didn't even throw off wheel alignment. I told myself i'd never buy another car without ABS and look what happens.
The ducks die next time

Drive for conditions. In other words, don't drive faster than you can see to stop. People also call it defensive driving.
There used to be 2T lawnmowers, Lawn Boy was one brand I used a lot.
I would have probably used that suzi engine for a boat anchor.

If they weren't so hard to find these days I'd probably not be bothering with this one either! Can thank Californian emissions requirements for that though, Suzuki leaned them out twice to suit the tightening laws then just stopped making these engines altogether when they just couldn't get them any cleaner. The last of them varied a lot fuel and timing wise, the last California spec main jet was a 75, UK was 80, Aus/NZ was 83.5 and South Africa got an 87 main. US and UK got super hot plugs too. You guys in the US mainly got them rebadged as Toro GTS engines. There an excellent engine when in good condition, there's a reason most mower guys and hire centres here and Aus were running them throughout the 80s and early 90s. Victa mowers in Australia still make a 2 stroke mower, but it's very hard to get. Up until a few years ago they made at least 8 different models all with 2 strokes on them, but Briggs and Stratton brought the company and started killing the 2 stroke engine, first the quality started disappearing as B&S moved production to China, then after a while they started phasing them out and pushing 4t mowers All my gear is 2t, I run 2 pre B&S Victa mowers as my main work horses and my 2 old Rover mowers I try to save for my nicest lawns as they leave a great finish. My dirty old Mitsubishi van burns enough oil to be an honorary 2 stroke haha.

Around here a person has to watch out for deer doing that. A deer strike can ruin your day.
