He is in the U.K. So should be covered by the NHS. My brother got deep vein thrombosis. Was on blood thinners for 6 months. The doctor wasn't happy as he suffers from severe allergies. The only thinners he could have were £35 a small bottle. lucky i only pay £9.15 per prescription mate If you're getting a lot of prescriptions. Get a prepayment card. Its less than £30 for three months. Will cover all your prescription costs. You can even back date it, and get a refund.

Bored this evening about 10.00 so decided to sort the shed in the garden out and get all my tools and oils over garage as that where I do most of the work on scoots and bicycles even found my socket set it not used in yonks goes up to 56mm and whatever in inches damn heavy but if got rid of would need it. Car full up now time to rest the aching back at least after tomorrow all stuff in same place. Then it will be time to tidy the shed some other day/month/year 😁

A phone call woke me up this morning. A friend wanted me to help him move some big heavy stuff around in his house. I had backed away from any visits due to COVID, but agreed with masks. If you've ever wondered how to make helping someone move even more fun, the addition of a mask really kicks it up a notch. There's a certain extra joy that comes from being out of breath and unable to see while attempting to figure out how a treadmill fits through a narrow hallway and doorway.

My worst problem with masks is that leakage around the nose fogging up my glasses, -drives me bananas. Even with the little bendy metal it is hell to get a seal around the old thrice broken nose.

The masks kill me. The know Covid can too but the masks if they fit well so there’s no leakage the breath goes through nicely. I still fail to see how a polyester mesh cloth can stop a virus particle.

Cloth usually can't stop a virus unless they are thick enough AND specially woven. Many of the cloth masks made by people or sold are mostly useless. What some masks can do is catch most of those droplets of spit and snot that carry the virus.
Have you ever seen a slow motion video of people breathing or talking? The amount of crap we spew out is amazing.
Masks without the conformable wire or metal band to at least 'try' to seal around the nose are completely worthless. With the little metal band it cuts down some of the leakage for most people.
So between the people that don't wear a mask at all, or covering the nose, and those 'cloth' masks, many people are spreading the virus around.
I have already lost a couple of relatives to Covid-19 and a few more have had it and seem to be recovering, -mostly. It is not the death toll I worry about the most, it is those lingering side effects that are damaging people.
In a few years we are all going to look like 'star wars sand people' with PPE equipment. This virus and it's variants are not going to go away. All we can do is try to cut down on transmission, isolate, and vaccinate the hell out of people. This situation has been a long time coming with our rapid transportation systems. Many people knew it was coming and were prepared, but some ignored the plans and warnings. At least we know the mechanisms of transmission due to science and don't blame vapors or evil spirits like we used to....

I’m going to fashion a snorkel and duct it into my drawers.
My condolences on the loss of your family members.

Sorry to hear about your family. That's very sad, my condolences. One of the latest reports from the government here, says possibility of two, or three years to totally eradicate the virus.

Sorry to hear about your family. That's very sad, my condolences. One of the latest reports from the government here, says possibility of two, or three years to totally eradicate the virus. They are being optimistic for political reasons. This virus and variants will be around for many years until everyone all over the world has been vaccinated. After that we will have a new virus like ebola or something escape confinement. Our rapid transportation systems and large populations will spread viruses quick without rapid and effective government quarantine measures. We have known for a long time it was going to happen, hell I studied government plans and countermeasures in college way back in 1971. We learned a lot from the Spanish flu back in 1918. But many seem to have forgotten history...
I did make the final adjustments on some PPE for myself, a harbor freight sand blast helmet. A mask will still be required but it adds a little extra protection.

Our government does a review every ten years on how we would manage different crisis scenarios. Three years ago at the last one. They said drastic measures would need to be taken. And listed lots of things that needed to be improved. None were implemented.

Today as we had sun I left the car windows down and boot open removed boot carpet spare wheel and all the detritus from it to dry and air everything out. Even had mold forming on the carpet that can stay out for a while.
I then started the tidying up of the shed panel after doing the doors not so long ago before the bad weather. Not being a chippy minton we'll see what it looks like when finished. I ache after rattling away with jig saw and bending up and down so it's rest time this evening.
