Seat position is locked in. The center bar under the seat will most likely get removed. The tank will get tucked down as forward and under the seat as possible. I should be able to lop off about 5 inches of the frame in the rear. I left a lot of extra. Gonna try to make it as small as possible.

Seat mount is mostly finished needs to be fully welded in. Its 1" round tube for the verticals and 1" square for the horizontals left to right. then 1/8 plate fore to aft. I may put some 1" square lower down to tie them in better.Sat on it and bounced as hard as I could and it felt good. The seating position reminds me of sitting on my old Haro GT.

Messed with the tank for about 2 hours today trying to get it to sit the way I want and it just doesn't fit.I can mod it, make one or try to find one that fits better..... I think you all know what way I'm leaning.

Ill start with modding the existing tank and after about 5 hours into it I'll realize I should make one from scratch and start all over at least twice.

Not really the build but this has been taking up my free time. Short story is a ripped the hood off one of our crane trucks with one of our box trucks. Instead of making an insurance claim I figured I have the skills to fix it. So after lots of prep I finally managed to get the new hood in primer. Its a 2016 Freightliner hood. Not exactly small.

So I need a gas tank that fits into a non-standard shape. So I bought a HF 20 tonne press and Swag off road press brake. Now I can bend 16g steel sheet easily. Spent the day today getting bigger press into place of my old 12 tonne ( thats for sale if any one wants it ) also added some new wire shelves. In such a small space I need vertical solutions. Also picked up some raw material.
Over the next few days I should have a gas tank.

Used a sheet of card stock to print out some patterns for the gas tank.Had I known it was going to work so well I would have optimized my lay out. So much better than using cardboard from boxes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av8m-AiaSYM&feature=youtu.beLaid out the pieces tweaked and fitted. Transferred the side panel from card board to digital so I can always make them again. weld progress

I dont have a slip roller and they just painted the poles in the complex where my shop is so I used the press brake to round the panel on the back of the tank. It will need some hammer work when I go to weld it up. Ran out of gas again.... need a bigger tank. I had two factory seat cushions so I cut one out to see how it feels. Dont like the hump on it and its way over stuffed. But I have the second seat that is far more smooth and the final seat vinyl will be contoured. But over all height and feel are good.

I have a fully functioning gas tank mounted gas tank. Used the fill neck off of a spare tank and the threaded bung for the vacuum fuel pump on my first scooter tank. 16g sheet was way too thick to use for this. Its heavy and hard to make round. But its sturdy as hell. Its ugly but should hold 1 2/3 gallons. It will be housed behind some fairings eventually.

You are going to "make" fairings?
