You are going to "make" fairings? I am. Working on them in autodesk 123d programme. Making bucks for fiberglass molds. The rads will get some stuff and the body and tail will be one piece. Bucks are made by stacking layers and filling voids with foam bondo coat everything sand to final shape and start laying fiber. Should take me months to finish it....... or eventually.

I've been following your build since the beginning and I have to say maybe not for everyone, however as you put it for phranc. As such it is one of the coolest builds I have seen here. I especially like how you seem to DIY everything. Rock on sir and may you have the ultimate scoot of your dreams!

Its just become an excuse to play with my tools and buy new ones, cubical job therapy since I dont have a job building stuff anymore. Would not recommend doing this to any one, should have just bought the bigger bike to start with. Easier but maybe less rewarding.

Mocked up rads Welded in custom bracket to hold the rads. Used a contour gauge to get some shapes for re-enforcement gussets to the bends

Welded the frame and seat bracket fully in, mocked up a brace between the neck and set, welded in gussets that serve as a place to fasten down hoses. Ran out of gas so I bought a 40# bottle with the 20# as a backup. Laurel Gas in Laurel MD are great for gas. Also started on the battery tray.

Frame in gray rust encapsulating primer. It needs a bunch of cosmetic grinding. The gray really brings out the slag and crap looking welds. Tomorrow after a round with the flap wheel I will start putting things back together.

Exhaust painted with header paint and them hit with the map gas torch before getting wrapped. Its cheap blue header wrap that wont stay blue but i got 200 feet of it years ago for $15 at Carlyle. Metallic blue frame. Rattle can Rustolium from lowes so easy to get another can. Did the gas tank too after I picked it up from the radiator shop by my office. They flushed and coated the tank to protect against corn juice that forced on us in the peoples republic of Maryland. Tank also got some rattle can clear that didn't turn out too bad. I may do the frame too.

As much as I like the colour the rattle can paint is soft and nicks easily. But its easy to touch up. Waiting on some handle bar parts like the bmx neck and grips. The rad bungs all point to the opposite side of the bike from where they come out of the engine. Rustoleum is decent paint, but it take forever to cure. Rehabbed a bike for my youngest, and the frame took three weeks in the sun before it finally hardened. Even tried baking it (didn't work).

Duplicolor's wheel paints have held up pretty well for me compared to other spray cans. Color choices are very limited to just black, white, and some in-betweens as well as bronze and silver. Eastwood's Chassis Black works quite well, but only available in black AFAIK. This is why I haven't painted T2 any other color.

Hoses. I think its hooked up right. Bung sizes kinda dictated what went where. Vac hose. Rear lights. Took me over 4 hours and its still not done. Need some more bracing. I dont like how it looks that much but its temporary just for street legality.

Dude, seriously? From the rear that thing is sexy. I'd like it flipped right side up so its wider at the top but the way the plastic is in the back I cant get it to fit right.
