The dude was an inspiration. For what he had been through, and for him to keep a positive clear attitude through it all, a hell of a man. I for one will miss the hell out of him. He's now working in the big garage in the sky.
R.I.P. Miss ya buddy

This is shocking news. Unbelievable. He shared a lot of his life here and although I never met him in person you get to know someones personality and feels like you know them. He always went the extra mile to make sure he could help to solve problems and always gave it straight. Miss ya already brother. You leave large shoes to fill. R.I.P. Dave.

Any conformation? Regardless, and incase.... RIP. I did some searching and couldn't find anything. I did something that I reserve for emergencies and logged into facebook where there was some discussion about Dave. As much as I wish it were a hoax and he'd show up again, I don't doubt that it's true. The only additional info I found is that they believe it was a heart attack.

Wow. What a shock. My life has been kind of hectic the last three weeks with issues too numerous to list and I have neglected the forum.
Dave? Dead? Great guy and great contributor to this and other fourms. Talented person dispite his struggle with the alcohol demon which he seemed to have conquered thank goodness.
When he hit bottom after a bout with the bottle as well as falling victim to a robbery in which he lost most of his possessions I felt obligated to help him out and sent him some money to help him through his hard times. Later he wanted to pay me back but I told him that wasn't my game since loans often turn out to be gifts with baggage anyway and I never wanted to go that route in the first place.
Through this forum's PMs he related how he lived as a boy in my neck of the woods in Dallas, TX and how he and his pals would catch lighting bugs in the Summertime and smear them on their bodies making glow-in-the dark streaks.
I'm truly stuned and saddened at his passing and my condolances go out to his girlfriend and family.
He was a Veteran but I know nothing of his family or past life.
I will contribute to his fund and continue to miss his presence on this forum.
Rest in peace, brother...
