Sorry If I'm confusing you. It does lower cruise RPM. Did you think I meant it raised it where I said you need more throttle? You need more throttle because you have to use engine power to get going rather than relying on the greater mechanical advantage (more torque multiplication) that stock or deeper gears would give you. You can notice sort of the same effect if you mess with roller weights. A very heavy set of rollers (more like upgears) will require you to give it more gas to get going and get the RPM up. If you put in a really light set of rollers you barely have to touch the gas to get the RPM up and get moving. Is any of this making sense? Sorry, I'm not really sure how else to explain it.

So if I am getting this right, the gear lowers the rpm making more heat and stress on the engine and more top end speed ASSUMING the engine has enough power to make the higher speed, if not it just lugs the motor and makes it hot. Ok im gonna skip that for now.

After last night, speedy is damn fast enough just the way it is (in the eyes of the law) so the 72cc bore is going to be really fun lol.

This is what the cop was driving. it looks totally stock but it has lights on the inside on the front and back. I saw him back behind me in the left lane, I was in the right lane. I looked but didn't see a bar light and I said well its a truck anyway. Turns out he was pacing me. If you ride around this town you better leave the city limits because they love to prowl around in sneaky vehicles. Especially on a Friday night.

Ok im gonna skip that for now. That's basically correct. You can counteract gears to some degree with roller tuning. Just another reason this can be trickier than cars and bikes with set gears. If it's lugging so hard that it overheats, you should go to lighter rollers in reality, not just accept it. I think I'm just digging the complicated hole deeper every time I talk now. lol

I think it would be better to just go with a stiffer contra spring maybe but no gears with the 72. There are really no totally flat roads here, its either up an incline or down one and on hills it really lets you know its a 49.5...but then again the cop said I was doing 45 going UP the "hill" lol. I just hate the way it slows going uphill.

At the Outback in Cary we used vinegar on the griddle top after cleaning it and the vinegar made it look like new!!

I was off work yesterday so i was thinking it was saturday lol, turns out it didnt rain and I would have had enough time to do it. Tomorrow looks good. Today we had tornados, 5 killed so far and the Lowes in Sanford NC just south of me is gone... www.newsobserver.com/2011/04/16/1134618/tornado-touches-down-in-southwest.htmlI just went to the grocery store and there is insulation everywhere..all in the streets, in the trees and a big piece of aluminum siding from a mobile home landed on a car just down the street, there are no mobile home parks around here so who knows how for the tornado carried it.

As interesting as the view is in that video, I would be getting out of there. Tornadoes are not something we see here, so that big funnel cloud might as well carry a sign that says "RUN!" if I see it. Amazing forces of nature, but I can't imagine living in areas where that happens. I guess tornadoes aren't really that common in NC either though. Sorry to hear of the events in your area and the affected lives.
