Is it a nitro car or a electric one, alot of receivers I have only have channel 1 2 3 sometimes channel 3 is the bind port and on others channel 3 has batt next to it for nitro but seeing as how you said esc the receiver should work because on an esc there is a battery lead and an on switch, plug the steering servo into channel 1 and the esc to channel 2 remember one to turn two to burn any pics or any more help just lmk

This is the only 2 plugs I have. I thought maybe I would use my old crystals but I guess I just bind it to the controller

looks like one for the steering servo and one for the ESC, right? the ESC plugs to channel 2 on your reciever and the steering servo is channel 1. usually doesnt matter what the age of the rx/tx combo you're using as its usually set up how i said unless its some custom job.

Once you go brushless you never wanna go back lol theres alot more power at your finger tip for longer smoother drifts

Nope if you look up brushless setups even from traxxas even thing is plug and play as long as both the esc and the motor are brushless on brushless there are 3 motor wires on brushed there are 2
