Ok, finally got it to start. But it will not stay running, and when riding, it is running lean. Too lean. When I try to adjust the a/f screw, it just dies, adjusting the idle either kills it or makes it go from hardly running to trying to take off on its own.
I have checked the lines for leaks, nothing
I have checked the lines for flow, all good.
I checked the carb, it's clean
I have adjusted the screws, it dies.
I have no idea what else to do. It is really getting bad, because I just lost a photo shoot, and the only garage around here that can check it out and at least diagnose the issue charges $85 just for that. Can't afford that much and I cannot get the scooter to the shops in Charlotte, I have no trailer, and wouldn't trust driving it that far running as lean as it is.

it still can be a carb issue, since the af screw has no effect. did you remove the af jets, pass a wire through the passages and maybe blast it with wd40? could you beg for mercy at the repair shop and just bring the carb in for a cleaning/rebuild? if i need to move a dead scooter i would hire a uhaul van or maybe the shop has a pick up service.. extra $ but what can else is there?

sorry i dont know the whole situation im guessing it was running good and then went south i would check my reeds and if they were fine i would do a leak down test but reeds shouldnt cause it to get lean but a bad seal or cracked intake or something along that lines would

Ok, a bit more detail on the situation...
It was running fine, then it started stalling at stops, it began running rough and lean, then quit running all together. I got it running again, but now it won't idle for long before it stalls. It is still running lean.
I have: checked for leaks on the lines and carb checked fuel flow cleaned the carb 3 times cleared the jets and passages adjusted the idle and af screws
My biggest issue here is money... I am broke and without getting the extra income of the photo shoots, have no possible way to pay for repair or parts. The only shop near here rips people off and seem to lack any knowledge of anything when it comes to anything not a Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki. They are not pleasant to deal with in any way.
The next closest shop is over 30 miles from here.

personaly i would still pop the intake off and look at the reeds
then my next thing to check would be the petcock and fuel pump if there is one
real easy to test pull the vacume line off and pull the fuel line off pull a vacume on the vacume line(i like to use a vacume brake bleeder but if you dont have one you can just suck on the vacume line) if you dont get good flow of fuel you have found your problem if you get good flow then its time for a leak down test

Leaking around the head gasket maybe? Leaking at the oil seals?
