Two pieces of metal snapped on the frame that supports the rack on the back and the trunk, as the picture shows. I don't have the equipment to weld, but would quiksteel or something else work? Only one side had snapped in this photo.. i67.tinypic.com/i53w29.jpgAlso, what is it called? |

Looks like part of the seat latch assembly/bracket to me. You may want to post up the make/model or pic of the whole scoot so someone would be more likely to know a source for the part. Try going to Scrappy Dog Scooters and looking for parts by chassis style as well.

If you have a friend with a welder, it looks like it could be tacked back together. Id even reinforce the other side with a little weld while you have it apart.

You can usually just purchase that whole part separately and replace it for pretty cheap...

Yes, I was on Scrappy's just the other day and remembering seeing that part. Buy it for less than you could pay someone to weld it unless, you can do it yourself or have a friend do it. I don't see it on that page... As far as my scooter goes, it's a 2014 49cc TMEC. Yes, I was on Scrappy's just the other day and remembering seeing that part. Buy it for less than you could pay someone to weld it unless, you can do it yourself or have a friend do it. "Sunny luggage rack". That is what they are calling this part. This is the frame/rack that supports your trunk that goes over the gas tank. Unless I am not understanding which part you mean? Bill I am home now and can post a photo.  |

I think we're talking about different parts. I'm talking about the interior metal framework. I circled the two pieces that snapped and then the whole visible piece in my photo. It screws in to the sides near the gas tank and then some other spots.  "Sunny luggage rack". That is what they are calling this part. This is the frame/rack that supports your trunk that goes over the gas tank. Unless I am not understanding which part you mean? Bill I am home now and can post a photo. |
