oldgeek, you are starting to be the envy of all of the rest of us! That shop looks great! And a lot of room too! I have to move my Dad's car out of the garage to work on my scooters. If it's down for a couple of days, the car has to stay outside (to my Dad's displeasure).

If it's down for a couple of days, the car has to stay outside (to my Dad's displeasure). I feel very fortunate to be able to have a shop like this. My brother somehow understands my need to have a "place" and has helped to make all this possible. Work has kept me busy lately, so zero progress on the shop. However over the long weekend I did finish a project I started quite a while back. It is a divided cabinet that I wanted to build for my parts carriers that I bought from HF. I built the box quite a while back but never could decide on a shelf or divider system for the parts carriers. But while working on the shelving at the new shop, I got the idea to use the closet shelving as dividers for the cabinet.

Wow that looks professional! Thanks, were it not for all the jagged metal spikes hanging out the sides I would agree. I may re-make this one using wood sides instead of metal sides. The thicker wood will hide the shelving ends that I cut with bolt cutters. The plastic divided boxes from HF are awesome, I get them while on sale and they are less than $8 each. They come with different sized removable box compartments in them. I have taken all the smallest compartments from several of them and put them in one that I have all my variator weights in. Makes tuning the variator a bit easier with all the weights organized and labeled right in front of you.

Still chipping away at getting this shop set up. Got the drill press/grinder combo moved from my shed to the new shop along with the air compressor, mig welder and some other stuff. I am already running out of room to put things, but thankfully most of my stuff is here now I just have to get it all organized.
This shop is so much better than the space I was crammed into before. Now I actually have room to move from one side of the scoot to the other side without having to shift stuff around. Hopefully some of my projects will move forward at least a little faster now.
