Hi guys its been a while I am still alive and still slowly working on stuff for the scoot life mostly working allot and trying to save for more electrical test equipment and small PCB milling stuff. You guys are gonna hate me but in a little while a friend wants to sell me his 02 Ninja 1200 for $1300 I rode it and fell in love but still not as fun as the light weight scoot. I have also been playing with Tesla coils kind of another hobby now. .

I'll have to admit that a bike with 1,123cc's more than mine, would be faster. Even if it is a 4 stroke.

Spaz: Can you imagine a 1,200cc 2t? Holy Crap! I remember those Kawasaki 500 2T triples from the 70's. I can't even think about more than 2 times that power.

Bikes are easy to ride. The thing to remember is that every single person on the rode is actively trying to kill you. No big deal

Yes the 4T 1200 on this bike has 161HP lol 300HP 2T? Even if it only made 250, there'd be only a handful of people that could ride something like that.

I had a Yamaha LC350 in the '80s when I lived in the UK, great engine but after several kids wiping themselves out insurance was almost impossible to be had for that model...... I also remember the 'Kwaka' 500 triple, great engine, terrible handling!

Yes the 4T 1200 on this bike has 161HP lol 300HP 2T? You guys get the restricted stuff even on 1200's. The European version gets 178bhp Seriously though they are a great bike, just take it easy. A guy I used to ride with has one and they are a seriously quick bike. The build quality is very good too. Mind you we get the same with American stuff. We pay a third more for a mustang and it makes less power. We don't even get the hood cutouts.

The Yamaha 2 stroke RD 350 was faster than the Kawi 2 stroke 500 (at least here in the USA) and the Yamaha had excellent handling for the day. You're right. Kawasaki was not familiar with braking and handling engineering back in those days.
