i am still messing with the 19mm dell clone installed on my triton..this carb came with unmarked jets but is running great with the needle in the middle and a 85 main.. the air fuel screw had no control with a 35 or 32 pilot jet. now i have a 30pj installed, it always started right up cold without the choke but last night with the 30 i had to use the choke. now i want to look at the start jet, again no numbers, should i start with a #60, then 55 and 50?

As long as it starts with the choke, I wouldn't worry about it. It's normal to need to use the choke on a cold engine. The fact that it was starting without enrichment and now isn't for cold starts probably just confirms that it was too rich of a pilot jet to begin with.

it's odd when i put the 32 in it had no effect on the air fuel screw, but i could hear a difference in the exhaust note at idle. when i first installed the 30 in a cold engine, i left the a/f screw alone and it started right up without the choke and several times cold after. i ran some errands and then went to work for a few hours, that is when it decided it needed choke. the undocumented idle jet was visibly larger then a 35 so i am thinking the undocumented starter jet is bigger also. i have seen this carb advertised as for liquid cooled pocket bikes, that might explain the bigger jets?
