I use the variator that partsforscooters carries. It works alright to improve acceleration, and the price isn't bad. It's supposed to be a clone of the much more expensive Malossi MultiVar.
1st clutch is the same as the ebay auction, just way overpriced. The 2nd and 3rd appear to be the same thing. Looks like a decent clutch/bell. I'm still not getting why the ebay clutch/bell won't fit on your scoot. 2strokd used that kit and his old clutch was 112mm not 103mm or 105mm IIRC.

To be honest, im not sure were auto is getting his measurements on this clutch kit. Im not 100% sure, gotta check first but i think mine was the same size as my old stock one. If you have a 13mm vari shaft than this will work on your scooter. If you get the clutch and bell as a combo it doesnt matter what size they are, auto is just being safe and doesnt want to send something you cant use

If it doesn't fit it doesn't fit. I have faith in you, 2stroked! Gotta live a little

At worst you wont be able to use the vari if you have a 16mm shaft, the clutch will fit for sure

The clutch & variator fit! The mechanic did some fiddling he said but it ultimately all fit.
Good news: The take off is stronger.
Bad news: 5-8 mph off top speed + it's now basically running at super high RPM all the time - which makes it even louder. It's now impossible to do a "slow" & silent take off. It's full RPM take off at all times or it wont move...
Anyways - Thanks all for your help on this issue. I think I might have reached the ceiling for what this scooter can do.

Sounds like your mechanic has installed roller weights that are too light and/or a contra spring that's too stiff. Maybe the clutch slips too much too it you can't take off without revving high.

I agree. Your mechanic might have adjusted the cvt a bit too tight for your weight. Is he a bigger guy than you? I know it sounds silly but weight plays a huge factor in cvt settings . I would take it back to your mech and tell him what you told us. If he knows more about cvt,s than just installing them, he can set it up better for ya . You might need a set of rollers and springs to really dial it in.

I still have em.... I think something has to be done - this kinda feels like driving around a 5-speed car that's stuck in first gear....

It doesn't feel like the clutch is slipping at all - it's simply that it doesn't engage at all until prettty high RPMs. Makes simple little stop-n-go movements in traffic pretty awkward as it sounds like i'm getting ready to take off to the moon every time we move a few inches... hehe
