first off I would like to say hi to everyone. I just bought a 2016 Genuine Buddy 50, titanium with black outs it's unrestricted and has a 70cc kit. Not sure if I said that right but I'm here to learn. I'm very excited to hit the road, going to be a long winter.

They have some things that are a little different than the normal minarelli clones. For winter riding I like a windshield, hand guard/deflectors would be nice then I move to snowmobile stuff. A snowmobile helmet is almost a must have. They can have a flap under your chin to keep the air out and your neck warm, they won't over cool your head like a bike helmet, the double layer shield doesn't fog like a single layer. If you can find a used one or afford a new one a leather snowmobile suit would offer all kinds of protection. Just remember to do everything smooth on slippery ground. I've road into the negative Temps with good cold weather gear and a windshield without an issue

Nice find! I kinda did the same thing, the first ride I took on my $120 scooter it was like 30 degrees out, haha.
We have a scooter shop in town that deals in Genuine scooters, but they don't sell any of the 50cc models which is kinda a bummer. I have never seen a used 50cc Genuine on the local Craigslist either. I understand their profit margins are probably pretty low on the entry level models but I also think they are missing a large segment of Scooter riders that way.
Post some pics!

They probably don't carry 50cc Genuine scoots because they are 2 stroke.

Will you be riding during the winter or just working on it until spring? I recommend studded tires for navigating Michigan icy winter roads on two wheels. BTDT Once the slush freezes back over and the "grippy" snow sheet is gone, it can get interesting! Don't forget to rinse the salt off.

Just for the record. The snow in here is YOUR fault!
