I have a lead on a 150 that looks like a cf moto e charm but the only brand name I can see in the guys picture is the name "vroom" anyone hear of the brand? The bike isn't in the best shape but I'm trading for some junk I don't need so I'm not in it too much. I need a new project. It even has a title which is unusual in my area.

Find out if it's fuel injected. If it is, maybe it is a rebranded eCharm. Pics would be nice, since you never know about the seller's mechanical aptitude.

Fuel injection? That sounds complecated. Maybe I should pass
Or maybe I'll learn something new. For me thats part of the fun of these things

It certainly does. How hard was it to get parts for it? Its not a standard gy6 is it? The guy says it needs a new head (looks like the exhaust is missing too) No biggie unless the parts are hard to find.
The scooter I have now was in worse shape when I got it (also a trade) but it was a 139qmb.
Digressing a bit - why do chineese scooter haters insist there are no parts available? I can get anything I need for my scoot with a click of a mouse. You know that, I know that, but the guy with the vespa doesn't seem to grasp it.

But I believe it just a generic Chinese GY6 engine I have seen other scooters on line that look really similar to the e-charm if not identical. I sold mine because I had a really hard time getting parts here in Canada everything had to come from the States. Scrappy Dawg sell parts for the e-charm. www.scrappydogscooters.com/CF150_4T_1P58MJ_Parts.html

That's good to know that it could be a gy6. I THINK vroom is under the Bashan umbrella if so it's likely a plain old china bike. Now I just have to hear back from the guy. I hope he's storing it inside.

Here is what seems to be the same style bike - in better shape of course Both the one pictured here and the one I'm looking at are in the same Southern Illinois area. I wonder if there was a guy with a storefront that sold thsee. This is the only other picture I've found of this style bike with the vroom name on it.

Probably because they can't go to a Manufacturer's catalogue or parts fisch(sp??) to look up the parts... Hey some guys with Vespas grasp it too! (But not most!).

Water cooled? I'd stay away from fuel injection.
I've seen those here. Might be a Tao Tao. There are 3 Tao, out of the 5 dealers here. Budget brand.

I doubt it's fuel injected and if it really needs more than just the head and timing chain I may walk away. Plus I'm not sure if it will fit in my minivan. I plan on taking the seats out and I will likely have to remove the front wheel. We'll see I guess. The real hard part is explaining it to the missus that I brought home another broken scooter
