Filled it up with 101ll and turned the petcock on, fired it up and.... it died like a min later. Float bowl is draining onto the ground, I'm guessing some crap from the bottom of the tank got into the carb somehow and stuck the float, or this p.o.s. stage6 pwk carb has finally bit the dust. I'm gonna pull it n check. Hopefully it just needs a clean or a rebuild. I do want a new carb anyway, maybe I need to bite the bullet n get a new oko

You can lap/clean the carb float needle valve using baking soda toothpaste and a q-tip. Just put a dab on a Qtip, twist inside the seat, clean out with carb cleaner when your done. It's worked a bunch of times for me.

Took it to spring scoot in portland... and it rained, and my p.o.s. stage6 carb filled up w water, or froze, or something. Cuz it started sputtering like it was outta gas and the choke knob was stuck down, wouldn't come up to set the choke.
I've gotta 24mm mikuni from a kx65 comin, and I'm gonna swap out the Reed block for a kx65 version too. Hopefully this will make it a little more reliable. I think I'm gonna port this cast cylinder too, see if I can get more out of it.

Just swapped to a tm24 mikuni 24mm carb from a kx65 dirtbike... also need to swap out my throttle cable (broken), get a new filter for this carb, and a good buddy from twostrokeassassins.com hooked me up with an adjustable oil pump I need to put in. I'm also gonna be buying some upgears and doing some port work on this cast iron head to see if I can get it to rev high enough to break the crank haha.

Why not just ditch the oil injection and go premix? I just carry one of these www.drowsports.com/stage6-oil-bottle/ It literally takes like 30 seconds longer to fuel up when premixing. Eliminating a possible problem is always a good thing. And besides it sounds like your wanting to go bigger and faster so your going to have to ditch it anyways.

I premix on my aero, and I hate it. It's not more accurate unless you wait until it's completely empty and push it to the gas station. If I add 4 Oz of oil and it only takes .9 gallons, I'm lean. If I wait until it's full to add the proper amount of oil-to-gas filled, I can't mix it properly inside the tank cuz it's too full to shake the bike around and mix it. The only way to reliably premix is to mix a 5 gallon jug up and fill up from it, not at gas stations. I'd much rather have a pump to mix it for me at a predetermined rate than constantly have to do math, and there are plenty of other big builds that use the pump, so I'm hoping it makes it more commuter-friendly as I'll be able to fill up at whatever gas station I want, not whatever is closest when I run out or have to ride with a gas can.

Also, I can't put that bottle or even a quart of oil anywhere- I don't have storage on a prebug haha.

New pump New carb Already put the carb on. I don't have any jets for it and I guess the mikuni jets are numbered in a different manner, but I was able to put a 118 main jet from my old pwk and a 27.5 pilot jet that came with it. Thing is already running better without a complete tune. Probably the best $30 carb I've bought haha
