I got my new CDI today and tested it with the same results. Ya just when I turn the key on it the plug will spark once. Not sure where to go from here. Did you do the test in the video above that started @3:57 ?? 90GTVert , Iv seen this before in one of my scooters when I was not getting spark, but when the CDI was replaced, it ran fine. In this case I am sorta stumped unless it fails the pick up test.

Well working on it again tonight with the new CDI, I am not getting that single spark anymore when I turn on the key. I double checked my readings from the pickup and when my mulitmeter is grounded to the from I get a reading of .08 DCV. When I ground it to the green wire in the same bundle I dont get a reading at all. I have a 12 pole dc stator which I am having a tough time finding online. I see a lot of 11 poles out there so I wonder if somebody swapped out the wrong one.

Have you taken the flywheel off ? If so is there a possibility the stator may of been damaged ? Pics would be great.

Got my new stator installed today with the same results. I've now basically replaced all the electrical involved in starting the damn thing. I'm starting to wonder about the kill switch. It's one of those switches with 3 settings, which is the run position on the switch?

Unplug the kill switch from the harness and try staring it. That looks like a light switch I think what he was trying to say is that the switch was simular to the light switch. The kill/run/kill switch that's being described looks like this with "run" in the center position.
