on a kitted hm engine that is warm you should see 140 psi for it to be in peak order for a cold test you still look ok normaly around 90 psi is where you get your no start issues
3.5 grams is light on the rollers unless you have a real high reving pipe and yeah i would definantly ditch the 12.5mm carb and get a 17 or larger
if you go larger then 19 you will proably need a diffrent intake to fit it and you amy not be able to run the oem air box

Well I have been messing around with the carb again and tried the original jet back in which is 58. Wow what a difference, I set the clip on the middle groove and checked float height. it needed adjusting slightly. Put it all back together and fired it up, ticked over nicely and revved well on the stand, but it did that before. Anyway I got on and opened the throttle, kicked me in the back and took off. Maintained it's revs and picked up really well. The only slight (and I mean slight) hiccup is when I back off the throttle and then go back to it, there is a very slight hesitation, but I can live with that. I might not bother with a new carb for the time being, unless this one starts playing up of course. In the mean time I will be enjoying the ride. Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement, without it I would have given up and scrapped the BL**DY thing before now. I must have read every sticky and used the search button more than most, some great tips and info. Thanks Harry
