The first 2 pictures are my throttle side but what are the silver end caps for? Will they slide over that or do I have to take those off

You could see if a hair dryer or heat gun would either soften them so you could get something under there or maybe help if there's any sort of glue under there. Just don't melt anything.

the standard outside diameter for all bars at the grip area is 7/8" (22mm). The typical listed 7/8" grips for motorcycle and scooters will fit.

Did you see the link I posted Will they work? The length of my grips were about 4 and a half inches.

I think those are close to 5.5" long. They make two lengths for motorcycle grips. you may have to get one that's specifically for a scooter or motocross grips, which are shorter.

Out of curiosity and in case it helps anyone else that may find this thread... I see that the grip is off, so what worked?

I actually got my heat gun out and warmed it up then took a screw driver and worked my way around and slid it off the throttle side had to be cut off. But my bars are only 4 and a half inches. Would a 5 inch or so have a lot of over hang? Like would it sag or be squishy? Was thinking about getting the gold ones in the link in the previous posts.

Depends on the grips. If they're rigid, you may not notice too much. If they're real soft, sometimes you can sorta compress them so they aren't hanging over. If not, the soft ones feel a little strange when they're too long.
