I built Snoopy and shipped it to 2strokd (Robert) to tune and race, its in his hands still and he is a whiz at scoot tuning,my CVT setup for it is a bit mismatched but is needed due to its design.Has a GY6 150 variator linked to the standard Mina long case torque driver..Robert has the tough task of finding the perfect belt to allow max travel on this off beat setup..He'll get it,just takes time!!

The "remote' that I have seen is a simple high and low thumb screw, mounted on the body...as seen in their pictures... Yes, very pricey, unless you can envision a 14, 15, 16 , 17, 18, 19mm version designed for a chainsaw...can you say "Custom?" I want a version that can sell here in Asia for near or under $100 USD.
I need a version that has the throttle lever and adjusting screws on opposite sides. Tillotson can do that...the Vamec-Tryton B-18 from Italy is made that way.

All great info and feedback! My chain saw competition friends in Montana recommended these a few years ago, but though too pricey for most people.
They did say the response time was super good and idling was not so good, but for street use possible to find something in between.
I did just ask about Chinese knockoffs. They said new were OK to equal, but seemed to have issues after a period. One guy said "sloppy threads in the low end adjuster".
I will give an update if we get one to play with.

Looks right Benji. I guess this is simple in my history. 31 parts including the pump appears to be a few less parts than a Mikuni VM18, without the pump...not sure about the clones.
Nearly half the Tillotson is diaphragm pump parts. I guess that idea suits me better. Good call on the choke, however, I often ignore that idea, since I live In Thailand where there is very little need. I have seen people hand choke, as you describe, on race motors.

I ordered one of those chinese clones you linked to play with, it may be a while before I try to mount it.
Would they work better on a rotary valve setup than a reed valve? What I'm reading makes me think they might, but I'm not fully grasping the details of their intricacies.
Is the pump in the carb strong enough to pull gas from a floorboard mounted tank?

Scooter swap shop has them with the adapter to fit a mina there like $300,only issue is making an adapter to fit it to a reed block

So I'm holding the Chinese eBay carb in my hand now. Came quicker than I expected. These want crankcase vacuum to work, not manifold vacuum, correct? How are y'all approaching that?

So I'm thinking a 139qmb intake would be an easy tinkering adapter mount for one of these. It's got enough meat on the base to drill it out for a vacuum nipple and could be slid onto an existing clamp on style intake....

Got it running today and took it for a short test run, seems promising!Good throttle response, pulls strong,, have a run vid,but couldnt upload it from 2 sites,, As to a 139 install, just carefully angle drill the pulse port into the intake runner..The throttle hook up was the biggest challange for my install, but the chainsaw clones have a nicer throttle arm than the tillotson kart carb I'm trying..Some kind of intake flange will be needed too for aircleaner hookup,,I'd leave the choke and spring load it open, just twist the lever to start...

I have been looking at the HL carbs and found this thread. Did the carb keep working for you?

It did not go beyond a few test runs,a pumper carb is still pumping when the throttle is closed and is rich when its opened again..Thats fine for chain saws and jetskis, but a bit tricky on the street..Samodel ran one for a while, but recently switched back to a Dell clone with better results..
