Hello from California! Three of my great uncles were out in Italy and France in 43/44. Hi knobby my father served alongside the Americans with the British forces through the North African campaign in the desert and all the way through Italy in the Italian campaign as a front line medic. The ambulance he was in got blown up by a landmine in the desert killing the driver but he was in the back at the time tending the wounded and survived. Never spoke much about any other episodes of the war must have been horrible for them out front most of the time.

Right, don't know much about it as my uncles did not talk about it. Been told they were in the 442nd.
That is great she's got feisty, we all hope we got some of that as we age. Awesome she still takes rides on two wheels too..

Say Hi to your Mom. My Grandparents (Dad's side) are from Scotland. Grandpa was in the Royal Air Core in WW1, stationed in Egypt. The stories He told! Grandpa had one of the first motorcycles in Scotland before he moved to the US.

My gramps was super ecstatic when I got pregnant, he long waited to be called "great grampa". Hi pinkflames, I shall say hi to my mum from yourself and others when back from holiday. We be in Portugal from today for 12 days and I just seen a cafe with 2 Vespa scooters inside it,may get chance look in tomorrow. Temperature is 25c instead of 0-5c at home. I only just found out that my daughter Beth's husbands, granddad has at last count between 96-98 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beth's partner lost count but they are big Romany family's on his side. I quite happy with five grandkids in total mind you that could increase when the boy's and their partners decide to have children.
