I owned a scooter repair shop in town that serviced those scooters for two years. They're actually 4 stroke motors.

I stand corrected . . the 2014 and newer 50cc ScootCoupe's have the Piaggio 4-stroke engines.

It is interesting that the Nevada 50cc moped engine limitation is 2 horsepower . . and these engines are 4.6 horsepower.
