2010 Qlink Rave 50 -4stk 50cc large frame scooter. Looking at the CVT cover There was a wire running in the rear cooling vent of the CVT cover. When I pulled the cover off the wire went to what looks like a ignition pulser and on the clutch bell it had one raised spot that looked like the pickup magnet. It looks more like I pulled the air shroud off the motor. Have any ideals what it is??

From my understanding, this is the old school rev limiter. It picks up a pulse from a small magnet on the clutch bell just like the pickup coil on the flywheel and this is sent to the cdi. Disconnecting it, removing it or cutting the wire is supposed to disable it and allow your scooter to go faster. Here's pics of one:

Just out of curiosity, is the wire green?

Interesting. I've never seen anything like that. It would make sense to be some sort of speed limiter if the magnet is on the clutch bell. Knowing the final drive ratio they would just calculate how many revolutions the clutch bell would turn to travel at X speed and drop or interrupt timing after that point I suppose. If that's the case, it's a good design because it's easy to remove! ;D I suppose it could be a speedo of some sort, but it wouldn't work well at all at lower speeds because of clutch slip and most speedometers are driven on the front wheel.

I had one of them on my 139QMB, was definitely a limiter. You can unplug it at the CDI end too.

Sorry I didnt look to see what color it was. (White protector wire) If I get a chance Ill check. It just seem like a extra cost to restric it that way
