I ordered tires today. Went with the Pirelli SL60 they were just a few bucks expensiver than the Kenda tires.
So tire issue is cleared.

Yah tsimi, that's a rare seat. Prebugs usually have a giant 2 seater.

How much you pay for it tsimi? $180 You practically stole that thing at that price. Even if it is a bit rough around the edges.

Considering that the prebug was never released here and therefore is rather rare I think the price is very fair. There are other prebugs out there in worse condition and at least double the price.
I am lucky to have a good relationship with the local bike shop guy. He said he traided 2 old scrapyard ready Yamaha scoots for that prebug because he knew I was gonna be interested. So he kept it covered in the backyard for almost a half year.
I didn't know about the single seat stuff until benji gave me a short prebug history lesson.

3 fairings to be exact and I think the upper handle cover is also not closing well. The front and inner fairing cost me around $100 including shipping. The rear so called engine cover which is the large piece of plastic under and around the seat needs also replacing but is not a priority right now.
How much? You mean for the scoot? $180 Necessary fairings $100 Tires front/rear $100

So I picked her up yesterday and drove her for the first time.
Well she needs some attention, especially regarding electronics. Something is off there. But besides all the little problems one thing I found a bit disturbing was the sitting position. With 5'7" and 160lbs.I am not a big guy but there is no leg stretch space like my Jog has. Also the floor board and seat are very close together so even if I sit in the upright, back straight position my knees are higher than my waist. Make sense? Its hardly to imagine that this scoot was popular in Europe considering the average size of a European person.
Tires should arrive today and order for the fairings is placed.

Get the longer seat so that you can sit back away from the bars.
